Wednesday, October 26, 2011 Kids Stranded At A Pumpkin Patch Parents of two- to five-year-old kids on a field trip with the Firman Community Services Center Tuesday are calling for accountability from the school after an apparent payment dispute with a bus company caused their children to be stranded at a pumpkin patch for five hours. Parents say several Chicago children and adult chaperones were on a field trip to a pumpkin patch in suburban Homer Glen when the buses that brought the group there left, refusing to take guests from the community center with them, ABC7 Chicago reports. The students were expected to return to the center on 47th and State by 1 or 2 p.m., but did not make it back until after 7:30, one parent said. More Chicago news...
