iPhone 5 coming in September according to an AT&T employee

Posted: 30 Jul 2011 05:39 AM PDT

It has been a crazy week when it comes to iPhone 5 rumors. Now Gizmodo has posted an email that was sent to them by an AT&T employee, who says that iPhone 5 may be released at the end of September. According to the employee, his boss at AT&T has announced that vacation requests for the end of September will be denied due to an “event blackout”. The employee in his email notes that vacations are usually denied when there is an iPhone release scheduled for said span of time.

Here’s the text from the email sent to Gizmodo by an AT&T employee.

I’m an att employee and my boss just announced that vacation requests for the end of september will be denied due to an “event blackout”. Historically the only time they’ve done this was for an iphone release. So we’re looking at the last two weeks of september.
