I love trying out apps on my Android smartphone. I'm constantly
downloading new ones, even if most of them end up getting dumped
after a few days. Perhaps I should be a more judicious downloader,
at least according to Senior Editor Mark Sullivan. He went on a
scouting mission to the dark side of app-land and came back with
"Nine Creepy Apps for Android, iOS, and the Web"--a clutch of
truly distasteful applications. I know you, enlightened reader
of this newsletter, would never engage in the kinds of unsavory
behavior these apps enable. But feel free to indulge in the guilty
pleasure of seeing what nastiness others have concocted. I give
you permission to peek. After all, it's only human nature.
--Editorial Director Steve Fox
