Sharp today unveiled two new pocket dictionaries. Known as the Sharp Brain PW-AC30 and PW-AC40, the former supports Chinese handwriting input, while the latter features Korean handwriting input. Both electronic dictionaries feature a 2.4-inch color touchscreen display with a QVGA resolution, a 3.5mm audio jack and a QWERTY keypad. The Sharp Brain PW-AC30 and PW-AC40 will be available in Japan on July 15, 2011 for 20,000 Yen ($246) a pop. [Akihabara]

LeapFrog has unveiled the kid-friendly LeapPad tablet. The gadget features a 5-inch (480 x 272) touchscreen display with a 2GB of storage capacity, a built-in camera, a microphone, a stylus, and a motion sensor for certain games and learning activities. Parents who already have LeapFrogs Leapster Explorer game cartridges and apps will be happy to know that everything is cross compatible with the LeapPad. The V1 Series IPMs are compliant with the European Union’s Restriction of Hazardous Substances Directive (RoHS) for electrical and electronic equipment.
