Sony Introduces Paper-powered Bio Battery

Sony has recently introduced the paper-powered bio battery at Eco-Products 2011 in Tokyo. This eco-friendly battery uses a special enzyme called cellulase to change paper into glucose, which is needed to generate the electricity. The cellulase acts as a catalyst, so it can be reuse several times. The company claims that the paper-powered bio battery can generate up to 18Wh of electricity, which is equal to the amount of energy that can be generated by six AA batteries.
