Apricorn has unveiled the new Aegis NetDock Mac Edition. It is actually a 3-in-1 USB docking station that comes jam packed with a 4-port USB Hub, a dual layer DVD burner and a 1TB hard disk drive. The Aegis NetDock also supports an auto “ON” and “OFF” feature that automatically turning on when connected to your MacBook, and shutting down the Aegis NetDock down when not in use. Toshiba will launch the TransMemory-EX USB 3.0 flash drive in the Japanese market. Available in 32GB and 64GB models, the storage device features 220MB/s read speed and 95MB/s write speed. Toshiba claims that the TransMemory-EX is able to copy a 25GB video file in less than 5 minutes. The company will launch the TransMemory-EX USB 3.0 flash drive in February 2012. Pioneer has added a new 6x external Blu-ray writer to its range namely the BDR-XD04J. Claimed as the world’s smallest (133mm x 14.8mm x 133mm) and lightest (240g) external Blu-ray writer, the BDR-XD04J is equipped with a USB 2.0 connection interface, a 4MB of buffer memory and promise to provide write speeds of up to 6x for BD-R (DL).
